Lucy joined the Hemingway Bailey team in February 2017 as an Assistant Accountant after graduating with her AAT level 4 in 2016. She had particularly enjoyed the financial accounting AAT units including accounts preparation and VAT which she will be putting into practice and using often in her work at Hemingway Bailey.
Lucy is qualified to use Quickbooks online and has quickly picked up the other apps regularly used at Hemingway Bailey. She has been given and will continue to take on her own bookkeeping clients who she files VAT returns for and CIS returns where appropriate and is available to speak to them about any queries they may have by phone or email.
Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, practising yoga every day and is currently learning Spanish. She enjoys reading and discovering new music, going to gigs with her friends and is passionate about cruelty free makeup and sustainable fashion.
Susie joined us in April 2017 as an Assistant Accountant and even though she speaks with a Scottish accent, she assures us she was born in Yorkshire ! She is about to begin her AAT Level 4 and before beginning her accountancy studies , she had senior roles in the oil and gas industry in health & safety . Before starting work she studied at Edinburgh University for her Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Susie brings a lot of great practical experience to Hemingway Bailey and this fits in very neatly with our business culture of helping clients as much as we can. She has already made a very big impact on the business and has quickly become a strong user of Quickbooks Online and the associated Apps that we work with .
Rachel joined us in June 2017 as an Assistant Accountant after working in the Health Service but her ambition has always being to become an accountant and we are very pleased to be giving her this opportunity. She is studying for her ACCA professional qualification and this will combine well with her 1st Class degree in Business Studies.
She has already made a big impression with her enthusiasm and willingness to learn and as with all of the Hemingway Bailey team, her experience of work away from accountancy is invaluable in helping us provide support as Trusted Advisers to our clients.
When she is not studying, Rachel works hard in her local community helping to run her village magazine and is a very big PDC darts fan. She enjoys camping holidays and is a big Hull City AFC fan .
