Intuit Quickbooks Firm of the Future – That’s Us !

Sometimes you are genuinely surprised when something happens and that was certainly the case this week. When we were informed that we were the UK winners of the Intuit Quickbooks Firm of the Future, we were genuinely surprised. Not because we are not good at what we do or that we do not use the latest cloud software, just that we are not one of the big players in the industry.

Small But Very Agile

We are just a one office accountancy practice based in Beverley in East Yorkshire but we think big as regards making use of technology and are very proud to say we are fully cloud based from the beginning to the end of our accountancy processes.

We Are In The Cloud

All the team have Chromebooks and make full use of Google Apps and from the start of the process with our CRM system, we use cloud applications. Practice Ignition is a big favourite which we use for our quotations and terms of engagement. Underpinning all of the operation is Quickbooks Online which all our clients get in their packages and we are big fans of Taxfiler for accounts preparation and tax returns. PandaDoc is used for electronic signatures and we make great use of Entryless for bulk invoice processing.  Clients make use of specific Apps such as Crunchboards and ServiceM8 for their businesses and the software is getting better all of the time.

Exciting Times Ahead

So coming up in the next couple of weeks we have a video team flying out from California to film us for the day and then the video goes live in early October for a couple of weeks for people to vote between ourselves and the the winners from the USA, Canada and Australia to get the worldwide winner.

The winners will be announced at Quickbooks Connect in California on October 22nd.
